Bolinas-Stinson School is the only school in the district.  With an enrollment of just over 100 students, the school is situated on two separate campuses. The Bolinas Campus shares the site with the Bolinas-Stinson Union School District office.  .

Tamalpais High, a California Distinguished School, offers a comprehensive curriculum including Honors and Advanced Placement classes, foreign languages, technical arts, and an on-site ROP (Regional Occupational Program).  A Global Studies program provides opportunities for travel and language immersion.

Alumni include actress Eve Arden, mountain bike inventor Joe Breeze, guitarist John Cipollina, stateman/comic Pat Paulsen.  The Sock Hop scenes in the film ‘American Graffitti' , (1973), were filmed in the boys gym.
